Originally from the United Kingdom, Marilyn brings a colorful assortment of experience and knowledge to her classes. Her professional experience ranges from being a Manager at Allen & Harris Estate Agents from 1979 - 1985 to being a teacher at Gloscat College of Further Education in the U.K. from 1996 – 2001. She has since immigrated to Canada in order to rejoin her daughter and to pursue a career as an Aroma therapist and Online English teacher. So far, all has been working out great even though she admits to “still not being used to the cold and snow of a Canadian winter!”. One thing is for certain, Marilyn has a lot to offer her students- not only English skills but life experiences!!!

Shirley is definitely one of our most experienced teachers. She has worked at various schools, institutions and for religious groups who require a native American teacher. Besides being a conversation teacher and teacher of Business English- Shirley works in many niche markets of ESP (English for Specific Purposes). These niches include American accent training, American idioms, Idiomatic expressions, TOEIC exam preparation, and storytelling. She is a professional and experienced teacher who takes her career as an English instructor to heart. Always willing to go that extra mile for her students to provide the utmost service she is a treasure of a teacher.

Geri is from South Africa and lives in Johannesburg, She started teaching at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2007 – 2008 and she was assisting junior students. She also taught computer programmes such as Microsoft office.

She went and worked in South Korea as an ESL teacher in 2009 and decided to be a private teacher so she can work from home. She teaches individual

students as well as groups via skype. She enjoys talking with people from other side of the world.

Julia, originally from London in the UK, has been teaching ESL since 2002 in Thailand, China, Laos, Taiwan and Vietnam. She is CELTA certified and her years of experience give her a wide range of skills that make learning English both fun and easier for the learner. Her main attitude as a teacher is to practice patience, to be encouraging and to make the lessons as fun as possible! After all, if you're half asleep in the lesson, you won't be learning much will you!

 

She is extremely friendly, understanding and keen to have you, the learner, do most of the English talking, while she is there to help and give you the encouragement and tips you'll need along the way!
